Spirit Dolls
Collaborative dolls made with my late Mother Olivia Skenandore. She called these spirit dolls, which were inspired by her mother while talking about our Lakota culture. These were a simplified version of the intricate dolls she made, which were inspired by the reservation period style of Lakota Dolls which she made. It was the highest of honors for her to let me add the painted details to these pieces. These specific dolls were used in promotional materials and were shown at the MoCNA gift shop in Santa Fe, New Mexico.
