As a kid Christopher Reeve was THE Superman. This is my little remembrance of his character. Comic books characters made into films are ubiquitous, almost to the point of being monotonous. I was introduced to Richard Diebenkorn and his figures, which definitely influenced this piece. One observer thought this was Bizzaro Superman and was disappointed in the blunt observation that it was simply an acknowledgement of the "Death of Superman." Private Collection.
