Private Collection. Sold in 2009. Frank Buffalo Hyde was painting burgers at the same time, so I stopped using the motif. I didn't want to be accused of stealing the idea from him, although his were definitely buffalo and mine were classic beef. The lettering and train in this image were silkscreened, at that time I worked for a sign shop and I developed a method for printing by using vinyl lettering on a screen. The train was a "traditional" silkscreen that I still use to this day, the design was taken from an original drawing in the only sketchbook that I have ever finished.
